Howland Pizza Works closes after nearly 50 years in business
A pizza shop that's fed customers in Howland for nearly 50 years has announced it has closed its doors permanently.
According to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, Howland Pizza Works has closed its doors after serving up pizza to Howland residents for 46 years.
In the post, owner Bill Siwicki assures customers that this closure was simply due to his need to inch closer to retirement.
"After 36 of my own years, it was time. Opportunity to take something off my plate was here and I felt now was the time," Siwicki said.
The shop is selling its equipment with Siwicki saying the shop is "almost turnkey" for someone to rebrand and start anew. Anyone interested in rebranding the store can contact Siwicki at 330-883-8625.
In the meantime, fans of Pizza Works can still visit the restaurant's Hubbard location on North Main Street for the pizza they know and love.
