WARREN, Ohio - A medical technologies company who owns the equipment inside Trumbull Regional Medical Center is working with Steward Health and Trumbull Regional Medical Center to facilitate the removal of equipment in the hospital.

According to a filing in the United States Bankruptcy Court dated Tuesday, September 3, Edwards Lifesciences, who owns equipment inside of Trumbull Regional has contact both Steward Health and Trumbull Regional's legal counsel to facilitate the removal of its inventory from the building.

As of this writing, no agreement regarding the inventory removal has been reached yet.

The filing states that a proof of claim was filed regarding amounts Trumbull Regional owed to Edwards prior to filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in May of 2024 for things such as hemodynamic monitoring, invasive and non-invasive equipment and accessories and embolectomy thrombectomy manual balloon catheters.

This equipment was provided to Trumbull Regional on a consignment basis, which is defined as an agreement to pay a supplier of goods after the goods are sold.

According to the filing, if Edwards is not given the opportunity to retrieve the equipment from Trumbull Regional, the company reserves the right to amend the proof of claim or file another claim against Trumbull Regional.

This includes an administrative claim for the equipment provided to Trumbull Regional that Edwards has not been paid for.
