Poland Township announces new fixed rate for natural gas aggregation program
Poland Township has announced a new fixed rate for its natural gas aggregation program.
According to a press release, the township established a two-year fixed rate of $3.73 per mcf for natural gas aggregation program members. This new rate will run through the October 2026 billing cycle.
Residents and small commercial customers should expect to receive an "opt-out" letter from IGS Energy to arrive shortly after September 18. This letter will explain the rate and the terms and conditions of the offer.
Poland Township Trustee Eric Ungaro says this fixed rate will give the township's residents and small businesses price protection and budget stability for the next term.
Ungaro added that just like before, the program has no early termination fee. If you're already participating in the program, you do not need to take any action.
Residents who have not chosen a supplier and receive their gas from Enbridge Gas Ohio will also receive an "opt-out" letter. If they wish to be added to the program, they should simply do nothing and they will automatically receive the new rate.
