Various law enforcement agencies along with the Mahoning County Coroner are on scene at the Meander Creek Reservoir searching for human remains.

Austintown Police Chief Bob Gavalier tells 21 News a skull has been found and police are still looking for other remains.

21 News has confirmed that the Austintown Police Department, as well as agents with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) and the Mahoning County Coroner's Office are all on scene.

At this time, it is unknown how long those remains were there or who found them.

21 News has sent a crew to the scene to gather more information.
