The third annual Mahoning Valley Pug Fest is underway at Penguin City.

The event runs until 3 p.m. at the brewing company on E Federal Street, and includes games, a pug parade, and a owner and pug costume contest.

Local vendors will also have pug portraits, gourmet dog treats, a makers market and more.

The Mahoning Valley Pug Fest was created by long-time pug owners and fanatics, Judge Anthony and Melissa D'Apolito, Bergen Giordani and Morgen Chretien after they all adopted pugs from the same litter in 2020.

The event will also feature a peanut butter licking contest, whip cream agility courses, pug races, and a contest for the oldest and youngest pug in attendance.
