Ryan scores 26, Warren JFK punches ticket back to regional final
The Warren JFK boy's basketball team beat Norwalk St. Paul, 64-51, in the Division VII Regional Semifinal at Barberton High School Tuesday night.
Senior standout Nick Ryan led the Eagles with 26 points. Henry Phillips chimed in with 20 points.
"It's so great to be back at regionals, going there last year and losing left a bitter taste in our mouth so right now I'm ecstatic but I know we gotta lock in and get ready for Friday," said Nick Ryan.
Kennedy advances back to the regional final for the second year in a row.
"I'm ecstatic for them because they earned this from back when they were little kids to now, they wrote their legacy and I think a lot of people expected this to be a down year for us but they just keep winning," said Mark Komlanc, Warren JFK head coach.
The Eagles will take on Cornerstone Christian at Barberton High School Friday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the Division VII Regional Final.
