Authorities are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that erupted at a Warren apartment complex on Monday.

Emergency dispatchers received a call at 1:30 a.m. reporting a fire at the Avon Oaks Apartments on the 400 block of Southern Boulevard.

The first firefighters on the scene discovered flames within one of the apartment units and immediately began suppression efforts.

The fire department confirmed that no injuries were reported. A preliminary investigation suggest the fire originated in the apartment's kitchen.
