2000: A Mahoning County grand jury indicts one of two men accused of firing gunshots outside Choffin Career Center.

1950: Mahoning Sheriff Paul J. Langley says county commissioners forced him to buy big, expensive cars even though he wanted smaller cars. He has added two Chryslers, two Studebakers, a Buick, a Hudson, and a DeSoto to his fleet in little over a year.
