A 91-year-old woman in Trumbull County said she's thankful to get help after spending the weekend trying to get answers regarding a tree suspended on wires in her yard.

Joyce Wine lives on East Liberty Street in Hubbard Township, where a tree came crashing down during Friday night's storm.

The tree landed on a phone line, causing it to hang in the air while a nearby utility pole was visibly leaning, which appeared to be a potentially dangerous situation.

"I couldn't believe my eyes," she said, "I just couldn't believe it."

Wine said she and her family called AT&T multiple times, but kept hitting dead ends.

"I couldn't get a hold of anybody. I tried, but it was a weekend," she said, "It makes me so nervous. I can't go near it, because if the lines were to snap, they could do a lot of damage."

While 21 News was at the home speaking with Wine, a police officer then arrived on the scene.

Moments later, city and fire officials also showed up and told her that AT&T would be dispatched to the area on Monday.

"I'm just nervous enough about having it happen right in my front yard," Wine said earlier Monday.

The Hubbard Electric Foreman said that residents should stay away from any downed lines or tree limbs and call 911 if they feel there's a safety risk.

As of around 4 p.m. Monday, the city shared photos with 21 News showing that crews had begun work to move the tree.

The city also added that residents in this situation can call dispatch, which can help get them in touch with the proper departments.
