AUSTINTOWN - A Youngstown man has been indicted in connection with a shooting at an Austintown apartment complex in December of 2025.

According to a Mahoning County grand jury report, 23-year-old Mikklo Delgado was indicted on charges of attempted murder, felonious assault, aggravated robbery and two counts of improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation, all with firearm specifications.

Delgado was also indicted on one additional count of tampering with evidence.

The charges stem from a shooting at the Compass West apartment complex in Austintown that wounded two men and left one of the victims in critical condition back in December of 2025.

According to a police report, the shooting happened after a botched robbery attempt. Witnesses tell police they told the two men to leave the apartment because they were being set up for a robbery.

Witnesses say they heard gunfire after the men left the apartment.
