WARREN, Ohio- Local families, whose loved ones have been murdered, gathered in Warren Tuesday night to pay tribute to these victims. Some are still working tirelessly for justice to be served.

Jason McInnis was a 28-year-old man from Youngstown whose life was cut short October 14, 2006.

His mother says McInnis was walking on South Avenue to his grandma's house when he was shot in the chest.

"The detectives, they told me it was a possible robbery gone bad. Like I said he was big six foot three young man that worked for his money and we still don't know what happened," McInnis' mother Raquel Magallon said.

McInnis and numerous other crime victims were remembered by family and friends Tuesday. It was the 27th Annual National Crime Victims' Rights Week Vigil in Warren.

The Trumbull County Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children held the event.

Cindy Michael came to remember her two grandsons, Christian Pizzulo and Mason Cross, and their mother Lena Cross. Lena was murdered and then someone set fire to her Girard home killing the two kids inside on September 13, 2005.

This case also remains unsolved.

"The other big thing we think about a lot is there is somebody out there that killed a young mother, a five-year-old boy, and a 22-month-old boy and who else are they going to hurt?" Michael said.

The families hope and pray some day there will be justice.

Magallon said, "I hope one day somebody comes forward to let us know what did happen to my son. It won't bring him back but it'll give the family a little bit of closure. We miss him very much."
