The families of two Minerva teens killed in a tragic crash, laid their loved ones to rest Friday.

Parents and relatives of 18-year-old Aliyia Hancock and 16-year-old Savannah Russell gathered to pay their final respects. The two were killed in an
, along with fellow Minerva High School football quarterback Storm Angione.

Driving through Minerva, it's now hard to miss the signs that the love they left behind is still here.

"You lose somebody that close in your life and to see all the support and just everybody come together and the entire town- it's just unbelievable," Stephen Russell said, Savannah Russell's cousin.

Businesses and organizations have posted messages on billboards throughout the community with the slogan "Minerva Strong".

On twitter or on a shirt, #MINERVASTRONG is the message everyone is sharing.

A Minerva t-shirt business is like the many others in town donating their time and resources to keep the community strong. LOCON Screen Printing has produced more than 1,500 t-shirts for students and supporters that contain the message #MINERVASTRONG. The shirts cost $10 and all proceeds, minus the cost of the shirts, will directly go to support the families.

"It represents our town, it represents the kids that we've lost and we look at it as when you see someone wearing that t-shirt, you aren't going to be sad, you're going to think 'we are Minerva Strong'," Christine Fritz said, with LOCON.

A gofundme campaign is gathering donations online and a fund is set up at all Consumers National Bank branches. LOCON is taking orders at 330-868-5759.
