A McDonald man is going to prison for a deadly robbery attempt at a Warren home.
Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Settle appeared before a judge in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on Monday and was sentenced to forty-four years to life in prison.
Investigators say McDonald was responsible for the shooting death of 64-year-old James Levels.
Investigators say McDonald and two other men didn't know Levels was at a Warren home last April when the three went to the house to steal drugs.
Levels was fatally shot and Lisa Prater was wounded during the crime.
Thirty-year-old James Stein of Warren has already been sentenced to seven years in prison for his part in the crime.
Thirty-two-year-old Beau Palmer is serving a 12 years for complicity.
