Unattended child found at Warren Bakery

WARREN, Ohio - Around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning Warren police officers were called out to a local bakery.
Employees and neighbors found a young child unclothed and alone in one of the employee's vehicle.
A neighbor that lives near by the Warren Baking Company noticed a little girl playing in an empty grassy lot. The little girl then wandered into the back parking lot of the bakery and got into one of the employee's vehicle.
Patty Abbey, the bakery owner said, “We went out to the car and the girl was just sitting there playing with the steering wheel like she was driving herself off somewhere.”
The two-year-old little girl was found without any adult supervision and completely unclothed only having slippers on.
Abbey said,“The employee that owns the car grabbed a sweatshirt wrapped her in a sweatshirt and carried her in she just snuggled up into it.”
Warren police officers took the little girl to St. Joseph Hospital.
Abbey said,“He asked her if she like the doctor and she said yup and he said well were gonna take you to the doctor and make sure your okay.”
All the bakery employees are glad the little girl was okay and didn't seem to wander to the front of the store. Warren Baking Company is located on the busy Rt.422.
Abbey said,“I just hope that the little girl is safe and her parents learn a lesson from this.”
Currently no charges have been filed and the little girl is in the custody of Trumbull County's Children Services. The executive director of Children Services said the child will not be returned to her home until they can establish it is safe to do so.
