BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A 50-year-old registered sex offender from Masury is in the Trumbull County Jail following a 45 minute police pursuit that involved three law enforcement agencies in two states.

Jeffrey Allen Jensen is charged with aggravated burglary, failure to comply with police orders, as well as possession of marijuana an drug paraphernalia.

Township police began chasing Jensen's pickup truck in Brookfield early Saturday as they were investigating a reported burglary.

Brookfield police followed the truck over the Ohio-Pennsylvania line were Sharon police joined the pursuit.

Troopers from the Ohio Highway Patrol also followed the suspect, whose truck crossed over the state line several times during the chase.

The truck ran over spiked stop strips that were placed on the road to shred the tires of the suspect's vehicle.

The chase finally ended on Superior Street and West A St. in Brookfield, where Jensen was taken into custody.

Two Sharon Police cruisers were damaged during the pursuit.

There are no reports of injuries.

According to online records, Jensen is required to register as a sex offender for a 1993 attempted rape conviction in Pennsylvania.

He's expected to appear in Trumbull County Eastern District Court next week to answer the latest charges.
