The Austintown School board approved placing a 4.9 renewal levy on the fall election ballot at the Friday, July 24, school board meeting.

The board also approved placing a 7.3 mill renewal tax levy on the fall ballot, with both levy funds to be used towards expenses.

The board also approved the recommendation of the amended superintendent's salary for the 2020-21 school year and hiring an assistant transportation supervisor for two years, through the year 2022.

All board members, President Don Sherwood, Vice president Robin Krempasky, and members, Kathy Mock, Harold Porter and Kim Smrek, voted in favor of all resolutions.

Election day is scheduled for Nov. 3.
