YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Business Incubator and Medical Mutual announced the winner of a virtual pitch competition.

The competition invited companies to submit videos to the incubator for the grand prize of $5,000.

A company in the Cleveland area called NeverEnding was selected as the winner and presented the prize on Tuesday.

According to the company's website, they're creating a new visual storytelling platform that includes features such as being able to create animated avatars and videos.

The company's founder and CEO says their goal is to create a space for children to express themselves virtually.

"NeverEnding is a safer space to do that because this way they can kind of be behind an animated avatar... no one has to see who they are, or what they look like -- and yet, they still can kind of express themselves," said Jamie Van Doren, the founder/CEO of NeverEnding.

Doren says the $5,000 will be put towards making a part-time intern into a full-time software programmer.
