Mancino, Scurpa earn first win as interim coaches at Sharpsville

It took all of one game for new Sharpsville girl's basketball interim coaches Rick Mancino and Kirk Scurpa to notch their first win together.
The Blue Devils defeated Titusville High School on the road Wednesday night, 58-17. Sharpsville was led in scoring by Brianna Hanley who had a game-high 17 points followed by Allison Davis who tallied 12. Sharpsville improves to an overall record of 5-5 on the year, but is 1-0 under it's new era.
Mancino and Scurpa are filling the head coaching void left by Tom Burns who left the program for personal reasons.
The 11-year Kennedy Catholic boy's basketball coach told 21 Sports this win was special too.
"It's my first win with the girls. It was exciting, they were excited, Kirk was excited and it was a big game," Mancino said.
