Crash shears utility poles on Youngstown's East Side

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police and FirstEnergy crews are investigating after a traffic accident sheared two utility poles on Youngstown's East Side early Tuesday.
The crash occurred shortly after 5:30 am along the 1300 block of Albert Street.
Police say the sheared poles are on opposite sides of the road, but no wires were down.
FirstEnergy reported 853 outages in the area at 6 am. However, the number of outages was reduced to less than 5 about ten minutes later. The utility expects repairs to be completed by 8:30 am.
As of 6 a.m. Albert Street was closed between Kimmel Street and Republic Avenue.
The driver was not at the scene when police arrived.
