Governor Mike DeWine signs five bills into law Monday

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Governor Mike DeWine had a busy Monday afternoon, signing five bills into law.
The governor signed Senate Bills 108 and 109 along with House Bills 7, 8, and 87.
Senate Bill 108 provides funding relief to bars, restaurants, and hotels impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Senate Bill 109 was sponsored by local Senator Michael Rulli and provides $557 million in relief to businesses and child care providers that have been impacted by the pandemic.
The bill contains $150 million for small businesses that have been approved for aid but have no received funding yet due to lack of program funding. It also provides $20 million for entertainment venues, $10 million for new businesses, $4.7 million for county and independent fairs, and $44.8 million to reimburse child care providers for pandemic-related expenses.
DeWine also signed House Bill 7 which revises Probate Law, Guardianship Law, and the Ohio Trust Code.
House Bill 8 revises electronic recording of custodial interrogations.
House Bill 87 was also signed into law and exempts certain utility supply contracts from a 10-year maximum.
