AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Road resurfacing on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown is set to begin Monday.

More than five miles of Mahoning Avenue will be resurfaced from the Meander Reservoir to Meridian Road.

The pavement on the heavily traveled road will also be repaired and new curb ramps will be installed.

The construction is expected to span about four months.

Drivers will see lane restrictions but traffic will be maintained in both directions.

The Mahoning County Engineer's office says the project will most likely start at the Meridian Road end but workers could choose a different starting point depending on traffic.

The project is expected to continue through September.
