Warren firefighters battle suspicious fires early Monday

WARREN, Ohio - Monday morning turned out to be busy for Warren firefighters who battled two suspicious fires in the city.
Around 2 a.m. fire was reported in a third-floor apartment in the ten-story high rise at 250 Tod Avenue.
Investigators believe that the fire was set by a man following a domestic dispute.
When officers arrived, they found the apartment filled with so much smoke they couldn't see.
Police used fire extinguishers on the flames and the building's sprinkler system also went off.
Firefighters say the apartment is uninhabitable because of the damage.
Police have charged 42-year-old Alonza McCall of Warren with arson.
Just before 3:30 a.m., crews were called to a fire that had spread through a vacant two-story home on the 1000 block of Youngstown Road SE.
Since there were no utilities working at the home, firefighters say the blaze is suspicious and have called in the Ohio Fire Marshal to investigate.
The home is considered a total loss. No one was injured.
