Governor DeWine willing to bet Buckeyes win against 'the team up north'

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Heading into the Ohio State University vs. University of Michigan game, Governor DeWine is willing to bet the Buckeyes will win!
DeWine and Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, have placed a friendly wager ahead of the big rivalry football game.
“I am proud to engage in this friendly bet, highlighting some of Fran and my favorite treats from across the Buckeye State that we know many Ohioans will be enjoying as they cheer the Buckeyes," said DeWine.
DeWine has bet an assortment of Ohio-made sweets. This includes cream puffs from Schmidt’s in Columbus, black raspberry chip ice cream from Graeter’s in Cincinnati, chocolate-covered pretzels from Malley’s in Cleveland, and buckeye candies from Marsha’s Homemade Buckeyes in Perrysburg.
On the other side of the field, Governor Whitmer has wagered famous Michigan-made cherry sweet and treats from Cherry Republic in Glen Arbor.
“This football game is a time-honored tradition between our two states that pits the best we have to offer against each other for four quarters,” said Whitmer.
In 2019 the two Governors placed a similar bet. Governor Whitmer bet a box of goodies from Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor, while DeWine wagered a basket of Ohio’s famous buckeye candies.
Kick-off is this Saturday, November 27th at noon. The two teams have played 117-times.
