A Youngstown teen has received an 11-year sentence after contributing to the murder of a Farrell teen.

Antonio Davis (19) was sentenced after contributing to the murder of Damon Marinoff (15) in 2018. Davis was a minor when he originally appeared in court in 2019, but was tried as an adult.

Police say Marinoff met Davis over the app LetGo to sell two Apple iPhones. However, when he arrived at the address they were scheduled to meet at, Marinoff and another teen were robbed by Davis an and unnamed second suspect.

Marinoff was then shot and killed as he attempted to exit the vehicle by the second suspect.

A grand jury said there was enough evidence to put Davis on trial as an adult despite the fact that he was a minor at the time of the incident.

In October 2021, Davis entered an Alford Plea, otherwise known as a "best interests plea" which registers a claim of neither guilt nor innocence.

Davis was originally charged with Aggravated Murder, two counts of Aggravated Robbery and Murder, but after entering the plea, the Aggravated Murder charge was amended to Involuntary Manslaughter with firearm specifications and the Murder charge was dropped entirely.
