Blott Guy PK-6 school to hold remote classes Friday due to potential threat

LIBERTY TWP, Ohio - Blott Guy PK-6 will be holding all classes online for Friday, Dec. 17 due to a threatening message found written on a school restroom wall.
Once notified of the threat, the Liberty Local Schools district contacted police. Investigation revealed this to be an unsubstantiated threat, but the school will still go remote for the day out of an abundance of caution.
The grades 7-12 building will remain open as normal and students will report for in-person learning. District police made the decision to keep the building open as no threats were made towards it and police are confident that there is no immediate threat of any kind to the PK-6 building.
However, there will still be two resource officers and an increased police presence at the grades 7-12 building for Friday.
