Woman accused of threatening to blow up New Castle school

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - A New Castle woman remains jailed on a $100,000 bond for allegedly threatening to blow up an elementary school.
Police say 28-year-old Messaiha Brewer went to Lockley Elementary School on Monday because she was upset over something that happened to the daughter of a friend.
Investigators say Brewer yelled that she was going to blow up the school and threatened school security staff.
After being escorted from the building, police say she drove her car from the school in reverse at a high rate of speed.
Police say they stopped Brewer’s car as it was returning to the school, claiming the suspect became disorderly during the traffic stop.
Brewer was arraigned on eight charges including making terroristic threats, threatening to use weapons of mass destruction, disorderly conduct, harassment, trespassing, and careless driving.
Another court hearing in the case is scheduled later this month.
