Man accused of backing truck into Hubbard police cruiser after alleged theft

HUBBARD TWP., Ohio - A man is behind bars Thursday after allegedly stealing products from a drug store and then crashing into a police cruiser.
Hubbard Police were called to the South Main Street Walgreens just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The manager of the Walgreens told police that an entire shelf of body wash was empty despite being recently stocked with around 30 bottles. The report states employees had observed a man wearing a dark, heavy coat loitering around the store, and then leaving with a bulging coat despite not making any purchases.
Police say the manager observed the same man came back to the store two hours later. The manager then called police.
When police arrived, the report says a man identified at Stefan Breedlove, 61, hurried past them toward the exit. Police say despite telling Breedlove to stop, Breedlove got in his truck and told the officers he would be calling his lawyer because they were harassing him.
According to the report, Breedlove then backed out of his parking spot hitting a police cruiser, and then pulled forward and hit a concrete parking barrier.
Police then arrested Breedlove, and found several warrants for his arrest in surrounding jurisdictions.
Breedlove is charged with theft, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing.
Reports say police also arrested a woman in the truck's passenger seat, identified as Altura Broadus. Police say Broadus was found to have a warrant out for her arrest.
Both Breedlove and Broadus are booked into the Trumbull County Jail.
