Youngstown initiative aiming to reduce gun violence back in session
CIRV Executive Director, Guy Burney says out of the 24 courses they've held, 80% of attendees do not reoffend.

An initiative to reduce gun violence in the city of Youngstown was back in session on Tuesday.
The Youngstown Police Department and Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV) aim to provide resources for those caught up in gun violence so they won't reoffend.
Agencies specializing in employment, child support and housing were all on hand getting them what they need, greatly reducing the chances for violent crimes.
"What we want to do is intervene before someone is dead or someone is victimized because of those choices," said CIRV Executive Director, Guy Burney.
Burney says out of the 24 courses they've held, 80% of attendees do not reoffend.
