Youngstown & Mahoning Valley - JAC Management is already planning for next year's Y-Live event after a smooth Luke Bryan concert at Wean Park on Saturday.

Of course, there's always room for improvement, but overall, they said it went off without a hitch.

Luke Bryan brought quite the record-breaking turnout in downtown Youngstown of over 20,000 people.

JAC Management said Bryan's team was very pleased with the crowd and the venue.

"We were on the phone with his agent yesterday morning right after the show and they're thrilled," JAC Executive Director, Jordan Ryan said, "We're very happy. We woke up yesterday morning very very happy."

Ryan said a lot of planning went into Y-Live, being at the new location in Wean Park, and safety was a priority.

There were 150 total security guards and police on site.

There was an arrest at the show and some minor fights, but Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene said that's to be expected with a crowd this size.

"Obviously people for behavior reasons or whatever had to be escorted out, but there was only one arrest the entire night and it was for disorderly conduct," Greene said, "Overall, it went very well."

Greene said the Youngstown Police Department with help from the Sheriff's office had a thought-out security plan in place, including a drone unit and swat team at the venue to keep people safe.

JAC Management said they do plan on making some changes next year in the venue, like adding more vendors.

"I think the foods and beverage thing was the biggest thing that we want to change next year," Ryan said, "just to make sure that people can get food and beverage a little quicker."

They also plan on making the entrance more efficient by having separate dedicated entrances for both lawn and reserved seats.

"All the issues were relatively minor," he said, "It was a great night in downtown Youngstown."

Ryan said they're already making calls to book next year's entertainment, and they do plan on hosting Y-Live in Wean Park once again.
