Man allegedly steals $2,000 of equipment from Lowe's in Warren

The Lowe's store on the 900 block of Niles Cortland Road SE in Warren has been hit by a serial shoplifter.
According to a number of police reports, the suspect stole items on six different occasions on five different days.
The first incident occurred on May 14th around 6:50 p.m. when the suspect allegedly went through the self-checkout and scanned several small items but not a Husqvarna backpack blower valued at $329.
A second report said the suspect returned to Lowes on the evening of May 17th. An employee said the suspect removed a barcode from a lower-priced item and placed it on a Craftsman chainsaw valued at $219.
Two more reports were taken on May 22nd. The first incident happened around 1:45 p.m. after the suspect allegedly only scanned a lower-priced item and did not ring out a pressure washer valued at $429.
The suspect returned to Lowe's around 4:45 p.m. the same day, allegedly scanning a bottle of oil but not a $199 chainsaw.
A fifth theft occurred on May 25th around 7:45 p.m. The suspect allegedly scanned another bottle of oil but left without paying for a $499 Husqvarna chainsaw.
A sixth and final report claims the suspect returned to Lowe's around 6:45 p.m. on May 26th, leaving without paying for another backpack blower valued at $329.
Over the six alleged incidents, the suspect stole more than $2,000 of equipment from the store.
The identity of the suspect has not been released.
