Youngstown City Council approves ARP funds for YoGo BikeShare charging stations

Youngstown City Council approved the next step for the YoGo BikeShare project planned for the city's first ward.
Council approved $40,000 in ARP funds for YoGo to enter into a contract to install electric bicycle charging stations in the downtown area.
The locations for the chargers include:
- 111 W Federal Street
- Parking lot on corner of E Federal and Champion Streets
- 365 E Boardman Street (Youngstown Flea)
The bike-share service would allow people to download the company's app and buy access to an electric bike to use around the city. Once you're done with the bike, you return it to one of the charging stations listed above.
Once the program launches, it will operate daily from 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. between late spring and early autumn each year.
There are three different pricing options to choose from according to the company's website. They include an annual subscription, daily rates and a casual rider plan.
Each option comes with a 15 to 20-minute trial period depending on the plan selected.
There's no word yet on when the charging stations will be installed.
