Warren police: Toddler living in filthy, insect infested home

WARREN, Ohio - Authorities from Trumbull County Children’s Services are investigating after Warren Police say a two-year-old boy was found living amid filthy conditions in an insect infested home.
According to a police report, an officer was sent to a home on Linda Drive NW earlier this month to investigate the welfare of a child.
The officer says he was accompanied through the home by a man whose is not named in the report.
The officer reports that in addition to the odor or feces ad moldy food, he saw dishes piled in the sink, old food sitting out, and so many roaches, the two-year-old boy living there nearly stepped on them as he walked along the floor.
The report says the child’s bedroom wall was covered in flies and roaches.
The toddler was described as “filthy” wearing a soiled diaper.
In addition, police say there was no nutritious food in the house for the child.
The boy has been turned over to the care of a relative while the investigation continues.
