A Sebring man who was scheduled to go on trial Monday for sex crimes against a teenager has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to prison.

David Veneri, 27, pleaded guilty late last week to four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

According to Judge Scott Krichbaum’s court, the lawyer representing the victim consented to a sentence of four years in prison.

Veneri was indicted in February on nine counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of sexual imposition.

The indictment stated that the sexual conduct occurred between February and October of 2022 when the victim was between the ages of 13 and 14 years old.

Veneri was first arrested in December.
