Christopher Beeghley has been sentenced to 5 years probation after a fatal hit and run on I-80 earlier this year, court documents show.
In addition to the probation, Beeghley must pay a $500 fine and an additional $100 traffic violation for crossing lane lines.
Beeghley, a truck driver from North Collins, New York, was charged after striking 28 year old Tyler Estep of Masury, who was filling his car with gas on the shoulder of I-80 near Hubbard.
Estep was found when a passerby saw his shoe on the side of the road, then his body nearby. He was dead by the time officers arrived on the scene.
Beeghley was originally located "through leads developed from evidence on scene and public assistance," according to Ohio State Patrol.
