This week, students in Trumbull and Mahoning counties are learning about various industries within the community and how they work.

During this year's Summer Manufacturing Camp, the theme is 3D Printing and Urban Design. Students will be able to explore careers in their communities, tour local manufacturing facilities and hear from experts, according to U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown's office.

The camp, which was organized with the help of Brown's office, will also show students how products are made and teach them team building skills while working on a project specific to their communities.

"Ohioans are proud of our state's long manufacturing history," Brown said. "To keep up that tradition, we must get a new generation interested in our changing manufacturing sector. That's what these camps are all about. The camps will help students across our state learn about manufacturing jobs right here in Ohio and the proud history of opportunities our manufacturing sector has created for their parents and grandparents."
