CHAMPION TWP., Ohio - A semi truck has crashed into a Champion Township tattoo shop Thursday morning.

21 News crews at the scene observed part of the truck crashed into the side of Fat Cats Tattoo and Body Piercing on State Route NW in Champion Township.

Crews on scene tell us the semi struck a power pole and stop sign before circling around the building, ripping an awning off the building with its trailer.

HAZMAT was called to the scene due to the leakage of transformer fluid, but it was determined there was no risk from hazardous materials at the scene.

Employees of Fat Cats Tattoo and the neighboring hair salon tell 21 News nobody was in the building at the time of the incident, and therefore, nobody was injured.

Temporary repairs were made to the building and the telephone pole was fixed in the hours following the incident on Thursday.

The truck driver was cited at the scene for the crash.
