YOUNGSTOWN - The Youngstown Fire Department was called out to a house fire near the intersection of Breaden St. & Hillman St. on the City's Southside.

Crews were called to the scene around 9:45 Thursday for reports of a structure fire. Crews on the scene reported a two-story wooden structure with fire showing.

A short time later, additional crews were called to the scene.

As of 10:05 Thursday night, Youngstown Fire Dispatch told 21 News that YFD had 7 crews responding.

A 21 News crew sent to the area reported that the fire was out as of around 10:15 p.m.

It is currently unclear whether the home was occupied or what caused the fire. Dispatchers told firefighters that Dominion had turned off gas service to the property in 2019. 

The incident remains under investigation.
