A 2.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded Friday morning in Lake County, Ohio, 40 miles North Northwest of Warren.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the tremor was centered just east of Madison along Route 84 just before 9 a.m. 

A dispatcher for Madison Village Police says there has been some talk in town about the quake, but no reports of damage.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes between 1 and 3 are not felt, except by very few people under especially favorable conditions.

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake was centered on Division Street in Youngstown on New Year’s Eve in 2011.
