Send It Packin' owner shares common shipping mistakes ahead of the holidays

The owner of Send it Packin' in Austintown, a go-to resource for packing and shipping needs, said improper packing could disrupt a shipments journey.
"People just don't understand the shipping environment and what these packages are subject to," Owner, Tracy Shott said.
The extra time worker spend on correcting mistakes could delay a package, but also prevent damage to the senders items during transit.
Schott said securely packing and protecting the contents inside a package and having the right box size is essential, especially for flammable or fragile materials.
If you are packing fragile items, the owner of Send It Packin' suggests protecting the items using bubble wrap or foam.
So when are the shipping deadlines so that your package gets to its destination on time?
For USPS, it is offering a new option this year called "USPS Ground Advantage" for package deliveries in two to five business days.
Sender will want to make sure they get their packages shipped out for that deal between Dec. 16 and 20.
And Fedex says get your gifts sent between Dec. 15 for five day shipping and Dec. 21 for one day shipping.
