Vienna Township Trustees are addressing an issue that caused some township employees not to receive their paychecks on time.

21 News had received multiple calls regarding employees with various township departments not getting paid. We reached out to Township Trustee Phil Pegg to find out what happened.

According to Pegg, the township trustees have signed for the payroll of all township employees, but due to the recent election of a new fiscal officer, the township is currently in a transitional period before she takes office, so some employees' checks may have been processed later than usual.

Pegg acknowledged written inquiries by employees regarding their pay mentioning that their bank says the payment is "pending" meaning it's now on the bank to get the money in these accounts.

Pegg tells us these employees should keep checking their accounts throughout the day and they should receive their funds by the end of the day.
