New art studio launch in Boardman doubles as fundraiser for Animal Charity

BOARDMAN, Ohio - Home Again Consignment Shop in Boardman used the launch of their new art study to help raise money for Animal Charity.
The shop opened Studio South Art Exchange Saturday, as a collaborative space for artists to work, sell their pieces and show off their work.
The opening of the studio also doubled as a fundraiser for Animal Charity, where guests could either bring supplies needed for the animals or donate money to the cause.
"We wanted to give back to the community, and they are so underfunded and really need help from the neighborhood, and it's a good charity to invest in. Plus, I'm an animal lover," said Home Again Consignment Owner Sophia Derobbio.
The studio displays and sells art from over 100 of the Valley's most talented creators, and also holds classroom space for artists.
"A lot of people that make their furniture or refurbish, or upcycle put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and time into these pieces, and I wanted to make an area that would really benefit them financially," said Derobbio.
Home Again Consignment and Studio South Art Exchange is located at 7689 South Avenue in Boardman, and are open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
