The mother of three children from Struthers has been sentenced for child endangering after being accused of beating her 11-month-old daughter and flipping the playpen she was in.

Thirty-three-year-old Nicole Redeske of Katherine Street pleaded guilty to one count of child endangering in Struthers Municipal Court on Wednesday.

Redeske was sentenced to thirty days in jail and ordered to perform community service.

Since Redeske already spent 13 days in jail, the judge suspended the remaining 17 days.

The charge stems from a police investigation that began on July 9 when Redeske's 13-year-old daughter ran to a neighbors house claiming that her mother became angry when her 11-month-old sister knocked over a lamp.

According to a police report, the thirteen-year-old told police that the mom hit the baby on the arms and hands before flipping over the infant's playpen, causing the baby to hit her head.
