Several police departments came together Monday to honor the legacy of retired Farrell Police Chief William Caputo.

Chief Caputo passed away on Friday at the age of 92.

Caputo served the City of Farrell Police Department for 34 years and served as a Pennsylvania State Constable where he served for 24 years until the age of 87.

The former chief was a respected officer by those in his department and by other districts in the area.

He was known for his criminal interrogation skills and aided with investigations.

Caputo also served in World War II with the U.S. Army.
