Warren Harding wide receiver Ty Artis has taken home one of the more prestigious post-season awards, the Trumbull County Player of the Year. Artis helped the Raiders make the playoffs and get to a 7-3 regular-season record.
In ten games this season, Artis scored ten touchdowns, collected three interceptions and racked up nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards. He was a first-team All-Conference and co-player of the year and became the 8th recipient from either Warren Western Reserve and Harding High School.
"It means a lot," Artis said. "Coming in from last year to this year, I didn't think I'd be able to do any of the stuff I did this year because I pulled three hamstrings and had twisted ankles the previous year, so I'm surprised."
