CORTLAND, Ohio -  A Cortland man is under arrest after police say they caught him with a teenage girl who had run away from her home in Youngstown.

Nicholas Hedrick, 20, was booked into the Trumbull County Jail Wednesday on charges of unlawful sex with a minor and interference with custody.

Police Chief Dave Morris tells 21 News that Hedrick was arrested after officers got a tip that he and a fifteen-year-old girl were walking in the area of Greenbrier Drive and Southdale Boulevard.

Police say the girl, who was reported as a runaway three days before, had been staying with Hedrick at his Beechwood Drive home.

Hedrick’s bond was set at $12,000 and he has been ordered to have no contact with the teen who has been returned to her home.

The next court hearing In the case is scheduled for next week.
