The mother of a little boy who was shot before her eyes in their Struthers home faces criminal charges in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Alexis Schneider was arrested on her 23rd birthday last month in Jefferson Township, Mercer County.

Schneider, whose 4-year-old son Rowan Sweeney was killed during an invasion at their home in September, is charged in Mercer County Common Pleas Court on nine counts, including having unlicensed firearms, corruption of minors, furnishing liquor to minors, and marijuana possession.

Jefferson Township Police arrested Schneider and 20-year-old Tyrese Altman on March 14.

Altman faces 11 similar counts in the Mercer County case, including drug possession with intent to deliver, driving with a suspended license, and making false reports. He is being held in the Mercer County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Schneider is also awaiting arraignment in Mahoning County after she and her boyfriend, Yarnell Green, Jr., were indicted on a felony charge of improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

The two were pulled over March for a headlight violation and making an improper turn.

Police say during that traffic stop, Green told them that there was a handgun under the front seat.

Officers say that gun was reported stolen from Boardman.

Green told officers that a family member gave him the gun just days after Green and Schneider were also shot inside the Perry Street home during the shooting of Rowan Sweeney.

A Mahoning County Grand Jury indicted 18-year-old Brandon Lee Crump Jr. and 21-year-old Andre Stephon McCoy on four counts of aggravated murder, three counts of attempted murder, three counts of felonious assault, one count of aggravated burglary, one count of aggravated robbery, and one count of conspiracy. Crump is also indicted on charges of escape and robbery. Kimonie Bryant, 24, is also charged with Sweeney's murder.
