WARREN, Ohio -  A Warren mom pleaded not guilty to child endangering and drunk driving charges on Monday after spending the weekend in jail.

Katasha Stienstra, 33, was arrested Saturday night after police say two of her daughters, ages 1 and 6, were found wandering along Bonnie Brae Avenue, about three blocks away from their Brighton Avenue home.

The children could not tell the police where they lived. However, two 14-year-old siblings who showed up ran back home and came back in a car with their mother.

Noting in the report that Stienstra’s eyes appeared to be glassy, police say the woman admitted to them that she had a drink about a half-hour before.

After undergoing a field sobriety test, Stienstra was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and driving without a valid license, in addition to child endangering.

Stienstra pleaded “not guilty” to the charges during a video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Monday.  Another court hearing is scheduled for next month.
