Shrimp products sold at Meijer, Giant Eagle recalled over salmonella concerns
A company that produces frozen shrimp products has recalled some products sold at Meijer, Giant Eagle, and other stores over salmonella concerns.
Avanti Frozen Foods announced the recall on frozen shrimp products of various unit sizes and brand names distributed between December 2020 and late February 2021.
The recall is due to the potential of salmonella, an organism that can cause infections in young and elderly people or those with weak immune systems.
Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
Below is a list of the recalled products.
