COITSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - A Hubbard man charged with the fatal stabbing of his wife at a Coitsville motel rejected a plea offer from prosecutors on Thursday and plans to go on trial.

The decision came during a hearing in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for 50-year-old Francis Rydarowicz who is scheduled to go on trial next month on charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, and domestic violence.

Rydarowicz is charged with the death of 41-year-old Katherine Rydarowicz who was stabbed in the back on June 22, 2019, at the Kings Motel on Route 422 near the state line.

At the time of his wife's death, Rydarowicz was wearing an electronic ankle monitor to monitor his whereabouts for a previous domestic violence conviction.
