Salem graduate Meals named crew chief of NLCS

This will be Meals third league championship series

Salem graduate Jerry Meals has been named the crew chief for the National League Championship series that opens Saturday in Atlanta between the Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers.

It's Meals third LCS with the others coming in 2008 & 2017.

Meals has been a full time MLB umpire since 1998.
